It is with deep sorrow and profound respect that the Brethren of Beech Grove Lodge No. 694 mourn the passing of our beloved Brother, Junior Anderson, who laid down the working tools of life today.
Brother Anderson served our Lodge faithfully as Senior Steward, exemplifying the principles of Freemasonry through his quiet dedication, steadfast service, and warm fraternal spirit. In his role, he contributed not only to the smooth operation of our gatherings but also to the strengthening of the bonds that unite us as Brothers.
He was a man who understood the true meaning of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. His presence among us was marked by kindness, humility, and a willingness to serve wherever needed. Whether in the Lodge room or beyond, Brother Anderson carried himself with dignity and sincerity, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to know him.
Junior was honored as the 2023 Mason of the Year for Beech Grove Lodge in recognition of his many contributions. Among his efforts, he was instrumental securing the many gallons of ice cream used for our root beer float fundraising events. He was also always the go-to person for supporting and participating in many car shows.
As Masons, we are reminded that while the earthly temple may fall into decay, the spiritual temple - the soul - lives on. Brother Anderson has now been called from labor to refreshment, entering that eternal Lodge not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
Though we grieve his passing, we take comfort in the light he brought into our lives and the legacy he leaves behind. His memory will remain a part of our Lodge, etched in our hearts and reflected in our continued commitment to the Craft.
To his family and loved ones, we extend our heartfelt condolences. May the Grand Architect of the Universe grant them peace and comfort in this time of sorrow.
Farewell, dear Brother. Until we meet again upon the level.
Respectfully submitted,
Scott Sivells P.M. ∴

JUNIOR ANDERSON MASON OF THE YEAR 2023

JUNIORS LETTER FROM THE MAYOR

JUNIOR ANDERSON NEWSPAPER SCANS
My dad was the kind of man who quietly made the world better everywhere he went. Through running OCOG and organizing car shows, he didn’t just bring people together over a shared love of cars, he turned that passion into something meaningful, raising money for countless charities and helping those in need. Growing up, my brother and I were right there beside him, helping with judging, registration, and 50/50 raffles, learning firsthand what it meant to give back. He had a special way of noticing who needed help and stepping in without hesitation, always leading with kindness and generosity. His legacy lives on not only in the car community he loved so much, but in his grandchildren, who we hope will grow up to carry on his passion, his compassion, and his drive to make a difference just like him.
