Larry Hopkins - 1962 Studebaker Hawk GT manufactured at South Bend, Indiana on February 20, 1962. The car has a 289 V8 with a 4V Carter Carburetor producing 225 HP. It has a 2 speed Flightomatic transmission. I found this car in an old Turkey Barn near Lincoln, Nebraska. The seller could not get the car started for me to check it out, so I took his tools and had it running within a half hour. It was so covered with Nebraska silt soil that it was difficult to appraise the shape of the paint on the car. The engine has been rebuilt and in April, I had the transmission rebuilt. As is the case with restoration of any vehicle, this is a forever project.
